Iwan Adhicandra (S'00, M'01, SM'22) is currently the Head of the Department of Informatics at Bakrie University. He has more than 20 years of experience in global higher education in the United Kingdom (the University of Sheffield and Leeds Beckett University), Italy (Politecnico di Torino and Università di Pisa), Indonesia (Trisakti University and Bakrie University), and Australia (the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney). He obtained Professional Certificates in Data Science, Big Data, and the Internet of Things from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Advanced Cyber Security from Stanford University. He was a visiting scholar at Philips Research Europe (Netherlands), Simula Research Laboratory (Norway), Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany), and Northern Virginia Community College (USA). He is the Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (SMIEEE), Professional Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (MACM), Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), Member of the Project Management Institute (MPMI), Associate Member of the Australian Computer Society (AACS), and Member of IEEE Standard Association. He has been a reviewer for more than ten years for prestigious journals such as IEEE Communication Magazine, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.
